Details:
At the 2006 US nationals the new freefly discipline of 4-way VRW(Vertical Relative Work) was introduced as a test event. More teams turned up to compete in this event than in both the intermediate and senior categories of the traditional 3-way freefly competition, and it proved to be an enormous success. After years of controversy surrounding the judging of artistic freeflying many flyers are jumping at the chance to compete in a way that is completely objective and very challenging.
It seems to be clear that we are witnessing the birth of the next big thing in skydiving and Outbreak wants a piece of the action. Mike and Jim are going to be joined by Andy Ford, Dan Parker and Andy Lovemore to create what we believe to be the first ever British 4-way VRW team. As this discipline is so new there are few opportunities to compete with other teams face to face, so initially we intend to take part in fax meets conducted over the internet. We have 2 camps scheduled and will be adding more to the diary.
Although we are branching out into 4-way VRW, Outbreak remains fully committed to artistic freeflying and will be training hard over the coming months so that we can achieve the best possible result at the World Cup in Russia and defend the British national title successfully.
